Maybe just Townshend. I have an obituary from 1996 which states a family member was buried in this cemetery by White Funeral Home. I called the town clerk's office and they have no record of this cemetery. The looked it up and found nothing. I also called the White funeral home in Townshend. Which also said they have no idea where Round Hill Cemetery is. Umm?? They're the ppl that put him there!! They had no death certificate on file and no interment information. Just a file with his obituary etc. After several phone calls they said they could not be of assistance. I've searched the internet and I've come up with nothing. The few hits I did get for this cemetery didn't give contact information. I'm assuming it must be a very old cemetery? 1996 isn't that long ago, so the cemetery must still be active. Hi Yvonne, I used to live in West Townshend. I was pretty young then and didn't have much interest in the cemeteries. However, I do know that there is a very obscure--off the beaten path--cemetery called the Gale-Taft or Taft-Gale Cemetery. It is probably considered a private cemetery. Several of my Gale cousins are buried there. According to the book "Burial Grounds of Vermont" published by the Vermont Old Cemetery Association, Round Hill Cemetery is located in West Townshend Village, off Rt. 30. It says that it is used, has 200 graves and is in excellent condition. Don't know why the town clerk wouldn't know of it.
