Mary Constance MOOR(E) was the daughter of Margaret KATHAN and Benjamin MOORE. Benj, and father Fairbanks Moore were killed by indians on the 6 th of March 1758, Margaret and her two children were taken captive and ransomed back 2 1/2 years later, Mary was 3 months old at the time and the other child was less the 3 years. Mary was also know as Mary Captive. Margaret and Benj. were first cousins. Margaret was daughter of Capt John Kathan first settler of Dummerston, Vt. and Martha Moore, If anyone is into the Fairbanks line this is also her line.
