Hi All, Can anyone help me find more information on Stafford HORTON of Guilford and Wilmington? Here is what I do know - Stafford was b. 1746 in MA to Hezekiah HORTON and Mary "Martin" HORTON. Hezekiah Horton was part of a Baptist migration from Rehoboth, MA to Guilford, VT. Stafford married Eunice ??, I know not where. The couple had at least one daughter, Mehitable, who married George A. PETTEE September 06, 1796 at the Congregational Church Wilmington, VT. George's brother Silas PETTEE married Anna HORTON August 07, 1797 also in Wilmington, VT. It is believed that Stafford and Eunice had a daughter Elizabeth Horton b. bef. 1774 of Guilford m. 21 July 1790 John Scovill. This marriage shows in VT VR's. It is well documented that Stafford was of Wilmington by 1793. I am trying to find if the marriage of Stafford to Eunice took place in Guilford, names of any children born to the couple and where. Stafford is my 4th great grandfather and while I know for sure Mehitable was his daughter I know very little else.
