Aug 15, 1794); Sally (b. Jun 17, 1797); Elezer, Jr. (b. Jul 23, 1799); Levinah (b. Feb 16, 1801, d. Aug 23, 1802); Maryann (b. Aug 6, 1803), Emmora (b. Mar 2, 1805); and Levinah (2) (b. May 5, 1807). It is my belief that "Emmora" was a spelling distortion of Emory (Emery).Elezer (Eleazer, Eleazur) Jones (b. abt 1763) was the son of Bezaleel Jones [(b. Nov 20, 1736, in Medway, MA; bp. Jan 2, 1737 in Holliston, MA) (MVR to 1850); NEHGR Oct 1895:446], who married second Jun 23, 1762, in Hopkinton, MA Martha Russell (b. Feb 1, 1738/9 in Lexington, MA), daughter of Eliezer Russell and Tabitha Prentice. Bezaleel Jones was the son of Benjamin Jones, who is said to have been b. abt 1695/1705, possibly in Middlesex Co., MA, and to have died before May 10, 1757, in Upton, Worcester Co., MA. Benjamin is said to have married about 1730 Ruth [Taylor] and had 9 children, including Bezaleel. Bezaleel Jones married his first wife, Mary Nutting, in Mendon, and his children were born in Medway, Holliston, and Uxbridge, MA. The identity of Benjamin's parents is unknown. However, Abraham Jones (Abraham4, John3, Abraham2, Thomas1) was born in Mendon, MA, May 3, 1747, and died Dec 1, 1816, in Dover, VT; his brother, John (b. Mar 12, 1743/4) (and wife Abigail) were dismissed from the church in Milford, MA, to Wardsboro, VT, in 1791. Given the connection of these Jones family members with both Mendon and to Wardsboro (Dover) (Abraham and John removed to Wardsboro around 1790/1800), it stands to reason that they are related to Benjamin (who apparently did not leave MA) and his son Bezaleel's family in both MA and VT.
