Here is what I currently have from old family records. No record of the maiden name of Mrs. Wood. They were from Rhode Island. Archibald was a soldier in the War of the Revolution. They may have lived in Attlebury, MA & were among the earliest settlers in Dummerston, VT, and maybe aAfterwards in Pownel or Pownal, VT. His trade that of a tailor. Mrs. Wood died in Newfane, VT 3 Nov 1814 and is buried in Williamsville Cemetery, Old Section, Depot Road, Williamsville, VT. Archibald Wood died abt 1817, maybe in Dummerston Hill, VT. They had at least seven daughters & one son. 1. Daughter 1 married: --- Davenport of Dummerston, Vt. They had a numerous family of sons & daughters. 2. Daughter 2 married ---Higgins. They went west somewhere in NY. One son I have seen--Luke Higgins. 3. Daughter 3 married---Bacon, who also lived in the state of NY, One son I have seen, Elijah Bacon 4. Daughter 4 married --- Shaw, who also lived in the state of NY. One son, I think an only child was called Justin Shaw. He settled in Catarangus Co, NY. 5. Daughter 5 married Roswell Phillips, who lived in Jackson Washington Co, NY, afterwards in Rome, NY, where they both died. They had 2 children, Elijah Phillips, who married at Rome and had 2 sons & 2 daughters. And Phebe Phillips, who did not marry. Phebe & the children of Elijah lived in Rome in 1868. 6. Amy Wood married Thomas Wheeler of Newfane, VT. They had 5 sons & 2 daughters, all born in Newfane, VT. The sons-Austin, George, Thomas, Franklin, John Elhanan. The daughters were: Juliana, Laura Ann. 7. Betsy Wood, married Hezekiah Salisbury of Brattleboro, VT. They had 2 sons: George & Ransome; 2 daughters; Lestina & ----. Ransome died without marriage. George and the youngest girl were married. Lestina was not. Hezekiah & Betsy died in Brattleboro; George & the girls continued there at last accounts. 8. John Wood married Lucy Baily. They lived in Newfane, VT & had 4 daughters & one son. I can only give the names of the son, Franklin and one girl, Mary Ann. John Wood died in Newfane, VT 1833
