Akley, View Photographer, West Brattleboro, Vermont. The photos were taken in the late 1800's - perhaps 1880 - 1890 (if this is the right Bert it must be the later dates for his age to be correct.) Do you know anything more about Bert or his photography. All the obit says is that he painted and was a member of the Brattleboro Camera Club - so maybe. I am related to the subject of the photographs, Walter Henry Alexander, and his mother's maiden name is Sarah Ann Akley. She has a brother Edson, so it seems the photographer and subject might be first cousins. Any more info you have on Bert or his photography would be greatly appreciated.
