Has anyone researched the Pierce families that lived in Putney and Westminster, Windham County, VT? They seem to have appeared in that area in the 1780s. The line I am researching is a Charles Pierce/Peirce who seems to have come from Royalston, Worcester Co., MA. He received a pension as a result of his service in the Rev. War. He was married in Putney in 1782 to Lucy Pierce. The 1790, 1800, and 1810 censuses have him in Westminster; then in 1820 he is in Charlestown, Clark County, IN. I would like to discover the parents of Charles and Lucy (they may have been cousins?), as well as names of any children. The only child I'm sure of is Charles, Jr. who was married to Diadiami (spelling?). Need her last name. Thanks for any suggestions and help you can give me. Joann Nichols
