After four (4) bounces list members are automatically dropped from the list. Checking Your Subscription Address: -where you are _Sending From_ To find out if you are subscribed using the email address you might send us an email with go to: "Passwords" http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ enter the email address you Send From. And an email will be sent to you giving you all the email lists you subscribe to. If VTWINDHA-L is not on the list we won't receive your email. Today I updated the "Accept List" (a list where folks are allowed to receive & send at/from one address, & can send from another). If you were previously on this list, you are no longer as all have been deleted. (Note: this is not the General Subscription List.) - - The Rules for Roll Call - - Posting: List address is VTWINDHA-L@rootsweb.com default for replies is to the list, so, if you are replying to a message and you want it private, change the TO: in your email, otherwise, we'll all see it. Subject line should include the Surname, location and dates - even if it is only a guess. That way, the list will know who you are writing about, and the list archive will reflect the message. _No_ Roll Call" as _subject line_, please. This is very upsetting to some list members and doesn't reflect the true subject of the message being sent; some even get deleted without being read. Messages can contain as much or as little as you desire. Largest allowable message has been set at 30K, with digests set at 32K. Responding to a post: It is requested that if you respond to a posting to the list, please edit, sending only the portion you are replying to; that way, you'll not bounce and end up in my mailbox and not be seen by the list. Changing the subject line to reflect the body of the message helps if you are changing the body of the message. If you should see something in the body of a message that looks like the following- >> This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/2AC.2ACI/XXXX Message Board Post: << This indicates that the message came from the Windham Co., VT, Message Board at RootsWeb. So that the poster will see your message you should respond by clicking the link in the message body and posting the response to the board. Sometimes a message will get through to the poster if you hit "Reply All" in your email program. Let's have fun with this! It's been quite a while since we had a Roll Call!!
