    1. Re: [VTWINDHA] Re: Sally Bolton
    2. Thanks to jnR.... and the others who have posted this family. I have been looking for Mary Bolton . She was in New York (Essex County) and may have gone through Vermont ; I have been trying to trace her ancestry back to Groton or Harvard MA. Other towns in that vicinity were Shirley MA, Westminster MA, Fitchburg MA; Worked on looking for Sally/Sarah (either one) yesterday and towns mentioned were Milford MA, Hubbardston MA, Petersham MA, Athol MA, (I think it was called Pequog at that time) and even Deerfield MA. etc. The families that I follow were in the Groton/Harvard MA area and moved furthere "west" to Whately, Coleraine etc before going into VT along the CT River. Also, the Milford MA area is just south of that area and they would have all been in the Worcester MA county area at that time. Be glad to share anything I find but I just don't have the answers. Also, there was a John Bolton from Rhode Island and one from Falmouth area. If I can get to the library will look for him in Virgil White's encyclopedia of Revolutionary War service. I did find Timothy Bolton in Jamaica VT where he received a War pension and I am 99% certain that he "hailed" from Groton /Harvard/Shirley MA. Just can't connect the daughter Mary whom I think married "Captain Lewis " and this is the connection to my ancestors that is a brick wall (one among many) It could very well be that Mary and Sally are cousins and lived in the same areas. I have had no luck finding them in the vital records. Again, thanks for all your help Jean jespane@cs.com
