    2. Hi there, County records folks in Vermont will tell you the towns are the best source on vital records. The state has some, but I believe they are not as complete as the town records. The LDS church has filmed the town records extensively, which can be accessed at their Family History Centers throughout the nation. One not need be a member of the LDS church to access them. Many would have to be ordered from the main office in Salt Lake City, Utah for a nominal fee, which may require a wait of a couple of weeks. Go to www.familysearch.org for more information on the Family History Center near you. I'm not a member of the LDS church, but am grateful for the good service they have provided me. The LDS films also include copies of wills. The website will allow you to look up a particular town. Be sure to spell out the state Vermont. Martha Parker
