    3. Connie, This is a good suggestion. Noah may have returned to the area in which his father (or grandfather) lived, but I would have expected him to have taken up residence on family land. However when I checked land records in Marlboro and Newfane back in the 1970's and 80's, I didn't find any land holdings of Noah MORELL's. I never checked Halifax though. Maybe it's time for another trip to the area. Does your society have any information on the John Morrel family and where it may have branched out to? Thanks, Michael ------------ Original Message --------------------- Michael: One would hope that Noah MORELL of Marlboro, VT, who has one childbirth recorded in Halifax, VT (next town south) would connect somehow to John MORREL who appears in the 1790 Halifax census. [1-2-1] No doubt you have already tried that line of pursuit, but just in case..... Halsea Crosier said that Arthur Crosier, an early settler of Halifax, lived on MORRILL KNOLL, which is a site that town historians would like to be able to identify. If you break through the Morell/Morrel/Morrill brickwall, please share the good news. Regards, Connie C. Lancaster, Genealogy Curator Halifax, Vermont Historical Society
