    2. Yvonne, The location of any named geographic feature can almost always be found at the U.S. Geological Survey's Geographic Names Information System webpage by running a query. The URL for the query webpage is: _http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnisprod_ (http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnisprod) Here are the results: Feature Name: Round Hill Cemetery Feature Type: cemetery History Notes: Established in 1815. State: Vermont County: Windham USGS 7.5' x 7.5' Map: Townshend 430500N 0724225W Since most of us don't work well with finding locations just by latitude and longitude, on the answer page is a link to Topozone.com which provides you with a topographic map with a red "+" showing the location of the feature. Sometimes the topographic map can be an older one and not have some new roads and so on showing. However, I think that the cemetery should be easy to find with the map it brought up. It is located on a small road just southeast of the center of West Townshend. I also looked at the digital orthophoto quad (link on the same page) and zoomed in on the cemetery location well enough to see what appear to grave markers. Good luck with your search. 3. According to the book "Burial Grounds of Vermont" published by the Vermont Old Cemetery Association, Round Hill Cemetery is located in West Townshend Village, off Rt. 30. It says that it is used, has 200 graves and is in excellent condition. Don't know why the town clerk wouldn't know of it. 3. Hi Yvonne, I used to live in West Townshend. I was pretty young then and didn't have much interest in the cemeteries. However, I do know that there is a very obscure--off the beaten path--cemetery called the Gale-Taft or Taft-Gale Cemetery. It is probably considered a private cemetery. Several of my Gale cousins are buried there. 3. I am wanting to comunicate with any BENNET or BENNETT in the Windham county postings. I am going to approach my brick wall from another angle. I am sure that Daniel Bennett married Lorinda Allen in 1826, in Putney Vermont (Thanks again to Ruth). I am having difficulty proving it is the line I am searching for. So I would like to look at other lines that have connection to Putney or that vicinity with the same name. I would imagine that Daniel had brothers and sisters from that area and that is what I am hoping for. He was a carpenter who later was in Massachusetts, (East Cambridge) who according to census made organs. He died in Mass around 1880. I have a feeling that names that might be family names may be WILDER either as a first or last name, MILO or JULIA as a first name. I believe I have them (Daniel Bennett and family) in all census information except in 1850 when they could possibly be in NY. There is a MILO BENNETT in 1830 M19/184/96 in Bennington Manchester Vermont. I would love to visit with anyone with that name in their index, also. Would anyone have info or know of a good site regarding the Charter for the Town of Derby VERMONT around 1779? A name there that peeks my interest is a man by the name of SAMUEL ALLEN DANIEL BENNETT... I am having so much luck with all of my other lines...but this one is really a stinker. Swinging from my family tree in Texas, Gina Bennett

Soc. Vt. There are many DAVIS entries. None for "Lizzie", but since that is likely a nickname I also looked for Elizabeth and variations. No Elizabeth either. There are several entries, however, for Bets(e)y. Alas, none are even close to the information you provide. (A few births in the late 1700s, that sort of thing.) If your "Lizzie Davis" had been born about 1824 in Rockingham, it is to be expected that her birth would have been recorded, and would therefore appear in either the "Vital Records" or the "Rockingham First Church" records, or both. Sorry. Darrell
