I was sent these corrections and additions: This is in response to Thomas CALL's first wife. Response: "I believe Bennett was her given name. Surname unknown. They are said to have sailed on the Hercules in 1637. [Ferris, M., Dawes-Gates Ancestral Lines, 1941-43]" >Thomas CALL married 2nd time to Johanna SHEPHERDSON. Response: "Widow of Daniel SHEPARDSON. Maiden name not known. {Dawes-Gates;Torrey}" >His children were: >1. Thomas born 1633 in England; married July 22, 1657, at >Charlestown, Mass., Lydia SHEPHERDSON. He died November 1678. Response: "Married at Malden, not Charlestown; Torrey; NEGHR 10:162; Dawes-Gates 1-136, Lydia SHEPARDSON was daughter of Johanna ( ) SHEPARDSON, so she was his step-sister, and became his sister-in-law as well as his wife. {Ferris, Dawes-Gates, 1-136}" >4. Elizabeth, born in Charlestown, Mass.; married in 1663 Samuel TINGLEY; >married second in 1677 Daniel SHEPHERDSON. Response: "step brother to Elizabeth. Brother of Lydia above." I am thankful for any corrections, additions, etc. This was sent by someone on the Middlesex County of Mass. If you need his e-mail address and name; e-mail me privately. Thank you Judy

Hello. I am new to this list and would like to ask if anyone is a member of or researching my husband's mother's family. They were named "Adam" and they lived in Brattleboro. His name was Frank G. Adam and he came from Germany to the U.S. His wife was Mary Herbert. They had four children. Catherine, the first born was my husband's mom. She was followed by William, Fred and last was Mary, known as 'Molly'. Any information from anyone researching the same family would be appreciated. Thank you. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com

That was obviously founded by the Ellis family, and the Ellis and Phillips families were intertwined through marriage and tended to move together. They started out in Weymouth and Easton, MA, and some Ellis and Phillips men founded Ashfield, MA. I stopped following them at that point, but I thought I heard that someone went on to found Ellisburg. I don't know if this will help you, but I thought you might want to look in Ashfield and/or see if there might be a lead in the Easton, MA Phillips family. He was killed in battle at Sacketts Harbor, NY., in 1814. I also learned Catherine remarried to Benjamin Medcalf of Wilmington, VT. after his death. So far, I have not found that they had any children before he died. Therefore, I believe my research of this Joshua Phillips that was married to Catherine Bruce, is not one of my ancestors. The Joshua Phillips in my ancestry, was in Ellisburg, Jefferson County, NY., in 1830. He was the father or brother of Oran (Oren, Orin) and Alonzo Phillips of Bennington, VT. I am still researching the many Phillips's from VT. that migrated to NY. in that time range, for a possible family connection! Good luck in finding more info of your Joshua Phillips..... Julia
