He is listed in the 1790 census at Brattleboro but I know for a fact he died in Otego NY in 1835. He was a Revolutionary war soldier. He traveled to NY with several Vermont Residents. Captain Bixby and several Buells and a Carpenter family. Levi Redfield was a Singing Master and Composer of religous music. So he would have been associated with a church in the area. He is burried in a Congregationist church cemetary and his son is also but down the road in Sidney NY Linda... [email protected]
Posted on: USGenWeb Windham County, Vt Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Vt/Windham/11479 Surname: BOYDEN, MINOTT ------------------------- Thanks so much for listing the parents and children of ASA and MARTHA (MINOTT) BOYDEN. It helps with my research. I have not see this book. Am I right to assume that all children were born in Dummerston, VT, Windham Co.? There is a difference that I have found referring to the parents of Martha. I see the Boyden Book has her as daughter of JAMES MINOTT. In the VR of Putney, by Ken Stevens, Martha b. Mar 1785 is the daughter of SAMUEL MINOTT. Her mother is MARTHA WHITE. I do note ASA and MARTHA named a daughter MARTHA WHITE BOYDEN. Also, I have a copy of SAMUEL MINOTT'S will dated 5 April 1810. Probate Court at Rockingham, District of Westminster. It says he gives to his daughter, MARTHA BOYDEN, the sum of two hundred dollars. I also have found in the VR of Putney, VT, Martha, daughter of JAMES MINOTT bapt. 14 Sept 1817. This MARTHA MINOTT married a JAMES WARNER in Brattleboro, VT. So from these records I believe that MARTHA MINOTT wife of ASA BOYDEN is the daughter of SAMUEL and MARTHA (WHITE)MINOTT of Putney, VT Joanne Hayward
