    3. Hi, Betty - Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. The MORSE side of the equation is in pretty good shape. Abigail ("Nabby") was the daughter of Artemas MORSE and Mary JOHNSON. It's the HUDSON side of the family on which we've been really stuck. Mary Barnes HUDSON is my direct ancestress... we know she had at least several siblings... it's been a challenge to find out their names. It would also be helpful to find out about the parentage of Mary's Dad, Joseph HUDSON (1783 - 1815). That, too, has been a brick wall up until now. Thanks again, Betty. 3. Susan, I don't know if there is any connection, but I have a Mary MORSE who was the second wife of my ggggg grandfather, Simon FISHER (1781-1830). She and Simon FISHER married Dec. 6, 1804. My records indicate that Mary MORSE was born Sept. 10, 1782 in Boylston, MA and died July 26, 1813 in Newfane, Windham Co., VT. I believe Newfane is about 5 miles west of Putney. Mary MORSE was the daughter of Dr. John MORSE and Elizabeth ANDREWS. That is all I have on her because my line goes through Simon FISHER's first wife, Nancy WOOD. You might try checking out this Dr. John MORSE to see if he had any other daughters. Good luck. Betty Clingman >>Hi, Everybody... >>Am chasing a MORSE-HUDSON marriage and the children of that union. 1. [VTWINDHA] Beginning Frost Research
    2. I just joined this list and just started researching my Dad's family (finished my Mom's). It's my understanding that we're descended from the Edmund FROST who arrived on the ship Defence in 1635. I ordered a photocopy of The Frost Family in England and America with Special Reference to Edmund Frost and Some of its Descendents published in 1909. Has anyone used this book? I'm hoping this will answer a lot of my questions. The Frosts wound up in Brattleboro, but I don't know why or when at this point. My grandfather Raymond Minor FROST was born 3/7/1883 to Edward Greenleaf FROST and Jessie DAVIS. He married Ruth Agnes CALLAHAN of Charlestown NH. My father R. Minor Frost died in 1992 and his sister Ruth Anne Bricker, doesn't have much information. Robin Van Mechelen in Maryland

He was born to Isaaac Stearns and Lucinda Rice in 1812. I believe that Isaac was born in Bolton, MA and he married Lucinda there. I'm hoping that someone can give me anymore information on any of these people. I'm trying to verify the information about Edmond's parents. Chesaning Argus Paper Obituary: Edmond Stearns, long a resident of this township, died Sunday, July 10, 1887. of old age. He was born in Brattleboro, VT, April 28, 1813. Mr. Stearns began life for himself when quite young, learning the painter's trade. January 6, 1883 he was married to Laura M. Annable, who was born in Livingston County, NY. Five children were born to them, all living except one. Our community has lost a valued citizen. And we all feel it, for he was a pleasant and agreeable gentleman, honored by all who knew him. The funeral was held yesterday at the house, Ehler Clough officiating and many old neighbors and acquaintances being present ot pay their last tribute to all that was earthly of Edmond Stearns. His remains were laid along side those of his wife, who proceded him in death about one and a half years ago. Edmond resided in Brattleboro until 1821. He then moved to Washington County, VT. He came to Detroit, MI in 1834. In 1837 he moved to Flint where all of his children were born. In 1856 he moved to Chesaning and bought land in section 23 , Chesaning twp. and became a farmer. He also learned the painters trade while he was in Vermont.

    3. Does anyone have any documentation or vital record which shows this marriage? Various secondary sources show them marrying 23 June 1793, in Vermont.
