The next household enumerated in the 1880 census is that of Thomas J. Somerville, 46, born in Ireland. His wife Margaret, 26 in 1880, also born in Ireland, was probably the fourth wife of Asa Emerson Corliss, my great-grandfather's brother. Her name is spelled 'Summerville' in the Corliss genealogy, and the surname 'Sullivan' is also used in a photo caption, but I believe both are errors. 'Margaret Somerville' and 'Mary M. Corliss' both emigrated 1876 - see 1900 and 1920 censuses ('Margaret Corliss' in the 1930 census emig. 1877). Margaret is obviously not the mother of your Wm. & John, but it's possible that this is Thomas' second marriage. I guess your Somerville's have removed from Fayston by 1900. However, Thomas (emig. 1851) & Margaret are still living there, and the next household enumerated that year is that of James Somerville, 55 (emig. 1849???), and wife Candace (?) A., 51. Perhaps they might also be related.
