Apparently the first of the two numerals suffers a degradation on the actual record. Note #2: ANN "unknown" is reported to have remarried to a R. H. PITKIN following the death of husband Carlton Eastman in 1859. Note #3: It was not made evident to me, as to how or if, the NORMAN EASTMAN d. 1847age 24, in the Walker Graveyard at Hartland VT, was connected to the Carlton and Cyrena, who are also buried there Note #4: The Walker Graveyard data from Hartland VT, was kindly provided by "Bev Lasure". ========================================== HOLLAND, ORLEANS COUNTY, VERMONT RECORDS CARLTON EASTMAN place of birth reported as Boscawen, NH - d. 01 Jan 1871, age at death 79 years, 9 months, 18 days + (1st) "believed" to have been LYDIA HEATH (not proven yet) m. abt 1810 in NH, b.& d. unk ++(2nd) "reported" as having been SERENA WALKER b. abt 1800, m. abt 1825, d. unk. Their child: Abel W. Eastman b: 1830 in Hartland, VT, his wife Mary E. HARRIMAN b: 1847 Lynden, VT m. 2 Feb 1872 d. unk +++(3rd) MARIA LISCOMB b. abt 1810, m.abt 1840, d. unk Note #1: Longevity, Place of Birth and Date of Death data for this Carlton Eastman, were supplied by the Holland VT Town Clerk's Office Note #2: It is not yet evident to me, how or if, the Carlton who died 1859 in Hartland VT, is related to the Carlton who died 1871 in Holland VT. Note #3: However, it is believed that the Carlton Eastman who died 01 Jan 1871 in Holland VT, had migrated from Hartland VT in 1847, coincident with the Charles Eastman and Lucy Ann Weeden family, as noted on this webpage: http://www.rootsweb.com/~vermont/OrleansHolland.html , which says "Charles Eastman came to this town, from Hartland, Vt., in 1847, locating where his son, Eugene W., now resides, and died here October 8, 1882. His wife, Lucy A., daughter of Thomas Wheeden, of Hartland, survives him". ......Sub Note to #3: Eugene William Eastman subsequently d. 07 Nov 1930 and is buried in Brownsville, Windsor County, VT. His wife m. abt 1891, at time of death was Jenette (Nettie) WOODRUFF Note #4: It is intriguing that the Carlton who died 1859 in Hartland VT was obviously married to a CYRENE "unknown"; while the Carlton that died 1871 in Holland VT, was apparently married to a SERENA WALKER. Note #5: It is also intriguing, that the Carlton Eastmans in Hartland Vermont, were buried in the "Walker Graveyard" !
