My G.grandparents were Richard Wallace Smith and Orra Ingalls. R. W. Smith was born in Northfield Oct. 1854. He was found in the 1880 census living in Northfield with wife, one son, and brother-in-law Albert Ingalls, and working for the railroad. On his death record in 1920 in Cavendish, Windsor Co. it says he was born in Northfield to William and Jerusha(Hedges)Smith. Does anyone have any information on this William Smith?? Thank you for any help. Janice Webster

For those new to the roots web and those of you veterans I would like to say that there are many folks who subscribe that are willing to do what they can to help others in their research. I, myself do Volunteer research at Andersonville Civil War Prison in Andersonville Georgia. There are Any research I do is absolutely at NO cost and I am willing to do what I can. There are 844 prisoners of war on record from the state of Vermony and about 300 who died here, I thought I would send my offer. I also do the research for any prisoners from any state that were here. Here are my sources of research. There are 2 online databases to do lookups.....One by name...one by Company and Regiment. I also have a copy of the Dorence Atwater Death list which has the names and grave numbers of 12960 graves with only 460 marked as " UNKNOWN " This along with a CD I have which contains 34,000 names of the 45,000 who were imprisoned there which helps me find prisoner records because of mispellings of the names or alternate names. I visit the prison site every couple of weeks and have access to the onsite databases as well as the physical files. Please do not concider this spam as my research offer is FREE for the asking and will be posted on this county site only once. If there is anything I can do in helping your research at Andersonville, please just ask. I know his name is Michael Gilbert, he and my mother met at Edge Hill Rehab (Rhode Island) in 1982 and that he used to work at a Brockton Mass post office. I ahve tried many times to contact that post office. On my last try I was finally able to speak to someone who knew him. She told me that in the mid 90's he was transfred up north to another post office. Possably some where in Vermont or New Hampshire. Since Edge Hill is now closed and all records have been destroied i am out of luck on that one. I am guessing on the Birth year since my mother was born in 1959 and from what my family remembers about him he and she were around the same age. My mother refuses to tell me anything about him, infact she didn't even tell me that he was my father, she lied to me my whole life about who my father was and doesn't think I need to know this perso! n.... But I do. Now that I am an adult I would like to find out who this person was and is now. If anyone has any information that might help me in my search or was at Edge Hill Rehab around that time please contact me, I am begging

I am looking for any information regarding Josephine Donahue born March 1882; daughter of Roger Donahue born May 1842 and Bridget born June 1841. Josephine married Leonard Relation January 3, 1902 (maybe Northfield, VT). Leonard was born September 1881 and died April 27, 1914. They had six children at the time of Leonard's early death. Bessie Bridget was born November 1902, Margaret Katheryn born March 1905; Florence May born November 1906, Roger Leonard born May 1909, Marion born March 1911, and James born November 1914. James being born after Leonard died. Margaret Katheryn married Henry Peasley. I would like to find this family and add their info to my already extensive research on the "Relation" family. Any help is greatly appreciated. I understand the "Donahue" family is from Ireland.....and assume Josephine probably remarried......but have not been able to confirm any of this. I also do not know if all the children lived longer then childhood. Tammy
