He was a stonecutter, possibly with Rock of Ages. I have no birth or death dates, nor do I even know if he died in Barre. There is a stone in Hope Cemetery that indicates PARKER - WILSON - THOM. There is a John Wilson and his wife and a Margaret Wilson Parker buried at this site. No indication of Thom.

Hinds. The title page on this copy is missing, but there is a preface letter by the author dated "Portland, Maine, Sept. 10, 1899." Although author gives birth dates for the couple and marriage date, he does not give death dates for either one. In various places in the text, the author says "residing now (1899) in ...." which would lead me to believe the book was published in 1899 or shortly there after.

Gleason, who was the son of John Clark Gleason and Susan Hinds Upham. Susan was the daughter of Denslow Upham and Ada Richardson Upham. John L. Gleason is listed with his parents and siblings in the 1880 census in Warren, Washington County, VT census as being age 19. He is also listed as being "Maimed, crippled, bedridden or otherwise disabled." He had attended school within the census year and his occupation was listed as 'Works on Farm."
