April 15, 1927. When Mrs. Nora B. Kelley of West Rutland, milliner, went to a local hospital to go under X-ray in order to ascertain the cause of continued pain and lameness in her left leg, a doctor found a needle embedded in the flesh of her thigh an inch under the skin. She then recalled that she accidentally swallowed a needle 20 years ago. She never suffered any inconvenience from it until about three months ago when she first noticed the lameness. [My note - in 1920, Dennis and Nora Kelley were living with their six children at 30 Marble Street in West Rutland. Nora, age 51 at that time, is listed as a milliner.] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
