They werr all from the same distirct in Northwest Tipperary as the McKeoghs but most of these folks were Vermont born. They retained their old family friendships. All these families were heavily involved in the slate business, something I dont think the McKeoghs ever were into. I remember a reference in the Rutland papers to some McKeoghs in Rutland during the Civil War who were either anti war or anti conscription.
