Briefly my line: 1) Asa Douglas (1715-1792)w:Rebecca Wheeler (both buried Stephentown, Rensselaer Co. NY) 2) Asa Douglas (1739-1812)w:Sarah Robbins (both buried Canaan, Columbia Co. NY) 3) John Douglas (1772-1842)w:Sybil Merrill. John lived in Pawlet, Rutland,VT from 1797/98-1810/11. While there he had the following children: 1) Nancy B: 23 Oct 1799 D; 9 Mar 1814 Pawlet age 15 2) Robbins B: 21 Feb. 1801 (This is my GG Grandfather) 3) Electa B: 15 Aug 1802 4) Fanny B: 9 May 1804 5) Eliza B: 20 Jul 1806 6) Henry Poole B: 22 Nov. 1808 7) Merilla B: 4 Jul 1810 His other three children were born in Wayne Co. Pa. (Clarissa, Nancy, Julia Ann). DAR does not accept: LDS, Family books, county histories, etc. I am looking for newspaper, vital statistics, wills, deeds. Census data for me is not proving anything as before 1850 only had head of household listed. Possibly Nancy douglas b1799 d1814 might have documentation of siblings /parents in Ruland??
