I have ancestors, Nathan and Anna (Chatterton) Doolittle, who came to Mt. Holly from around Wallingford, CT. Anyone else on this list related to him? I would like to compare research on his family. His daughter, Polly, is my great great grandmother. Polly later married John Gilman of Shrewsbury, VT. She had a son, Augustus Willard Gilman born about 5 years before she married John Gilman. Supposedly Polly went back down to CT and had him born in Wallingford, CT 20 Oct. 1833. Polly was born 10 Oct. 1812 in Mt. Holly and John Gilman was born 13 March 1814 in Gilmanton, NH; they were married 21 Oct. 1838 in Shrewsbury, VT. I have much information on other children of Nathan and Anna Doolittle.
