John, I have a Mrs. Caleb Cooley of Rutland who lost her husband to the malignant fever about the same time as this Mrs. Abigail Sanford died in 1813. Mrs. Cooley was Elizabeth Sanford (b: abt 1862) of Weybridge, VT. Her sister Polly Laura Sanford (1782-1803) married in 1801 to Solomon Hobbs (1782-1854) in Weybridge. I descend from one of Solomon's older siblings. I have weak or no documentation showing the parentage of Polly and Elizabeth. But they are probably the daughters of Thomas Sanford, Sr. and wife who is still unnamed to me. Do you know if Mrs. Abigail Sanford's husband is kin to the Weybridge branch? The Sanford family, along with Stow, Britell, & Sturdevant were some of the early settlers of Weybridge who were caught up in Carleton's Raid of Nov. 1778.
