Joann: we have been in contact before, not for the Rutland Herald , but for the Vermont Gazetter where you found a reference to a letter that was never picked up for my John Douglas in the P.O.. DAR will not except that reference as proof that he is my Grandfather. Julie in Ca. It seems to me that if we have Douglas's in Vermont that we are probably going into the same line.
