LDS has some of them scanned, you might try renting a film. I rented one for Tinmouth, VT (My guys were from CT too) and it was a book full of church entries, in between the electing and town stuff, it mentioned births, marriages, death, and Mrs. so-and-so attending, or leaving this church for another.
