According to Edmund's obituary Ella's mother was Sara Eloise Clemons who died in May, 1874 and that Ella was four months old at the time. Edmund's parents were Merrit and Maria (Flagg) Whitmore. Merrit was born in Ira in 1824 and died there in 1873. I don't know where Maria was born, she died in 1911 in Ira. Merrit's parents were Edmund Whitmore (1784 - 1832) and Chloe Wilmarth (1787 - 1865). Both are buried in Ira. Edmund was born in Chester, Vermont and Chloe was born in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.
