Joseph Petty & Charlotte Lewis can be found in the 1880 Putnam, Washington Co, NY census with 7 of their 13 children. Several people have worked on this tree and done an excellent job. I've only been working on it about a week, although this is NOT my personal tree. I do, however, know a descendant of one of this trees branches. According to research, Charlotte Lewis is the daughter of Henry Lewis and Jane Hale. Henry--1821 to 1901; Jane 1828 to 1901, dying in Benson so I'm informed.
