Source,Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Wed. Dec.22, 1976. MRS. JOHN P. SQUIER. NORTH CLARENDON, Vt.--Mrs. Madeline M. Squier, 72, of North Clarendon, Vt., died Tuesday evening at Rutland Vt. Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Mendon, Vt. Jan. 9, 1904, daughter of John and Clara (Potter) Parker. She had lived her life in North Clarendon, Vt. Mrs. Squier was a member of the Wallingford, Vt. Baptist Church, DAR and the Poultney Historical Society. For many years she operated the Air Line Antique Shop in North Clarendon on old Route 7. Survivors include her husband, John P. Squier ; a granddaughter, Mrs. Edward Wilder of Rutland, Vt.; two great-grandchildren; a step-son, John J. Squier of Tinmouth, Vt. and a step-daughter, Mrs. Alice Crosby of Holly Hill, Fla. The last two years Mrs. Squier made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Michael Southard in North Clarendon, Vt. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Tossing Funeral Home, Rutland, Vt. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Those who wish may send contributions to the Rutland County Humane Society or the Wallingford, Vt. Baptist Church in Mrs. Squier's memory. P.S.-- Mrs. Squier is buried in the East Clarendon Cemetery.
