    2. Source,Rutland, Vt.Daily Herald--Thur.Jan.1, 1959. RUTLAND, Vt. MAN FOUND POISONED. Autopsy Performed on Body of Joseph Noiseaux, 35, After Sudden Death. Accidental poisoning is believed to have resulted in the death of a Rutland man found dead on a couch in his home Wednesday morning. An autopsy was performed on the body of Joseph Noiseaux, 35, of 109 S. Main street, during the afternoon at the Tedesco Funeral Home by Dr. Richard S. Woodruff of Burlington, state pathologist. Noiseaux, the autopsy showed definitely, did not die from natural causes, said Dr.Woodruff. The exact cause will have to be determined by laboratory tests conducted by the Department of Health at Burlington. Results will not be available for a week. Autopsy results, Dr. Woodruff said, indicated the man may have died from poisoning by something he got hold of thinking it was bona fide liquor. As yet there is no suspicion of foul play, he added. The autopsy showed there was alcohol in the man's system. Certain findings in the stomach region indicated an unnatural disturbance there and led to the poison theory, Dr. Woodruff declared. City police are seeking to find persons with knowledge of Noiseaux' whereabouts and doings Tuesday and early Wednesday morning. Noiseaux was heard entering his home about 4:30 a.m. by Mrs. Clark Goodell, a relative living in the same house. She told police she heard the man speak to the dog as he came in. Mrs. Goodell said she got up about 6 a.m. and saw Noiseaux lying on the couch in the living room. She recounted later she thought he looked rather strange but didn't believe it was anything serious. Mrs. Goodell reported . she looked again at Noiseaux around 8 a.m. and when she didn't see him move or breath called Dr.J. Carleton Stickney. He in turn called Dr.William J. Powers, regional medical examiner, who arrived about 8:40 a.m. An autopsy was ordered and the body removed to the funeral home. State's Atty. Theodore G. Corsones and Sheriff J. Fred Carbine were notified of the death. Mr. Noiseaux was born in Rutland,Vt, April 10, 1923. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Noiseaux, two daughters, Joanne and Linda Marie, and two half-brothers, Donald A. Merrow of Rutland and Henry C. Merrow of Danby.
