    2. Source, Rutland, Vt.Daily Herald--Mon.Sept.17, 1923. CLARENDON SPRINGS MAN DROPS DEAD IN BARN. Elmer Peck Ended Life on Farm Where He Was Born and Always Lived. Elmer Peck, 62, of Clarendon Springs dropped dead in his barn late yesterday while caring for his cattle. His dead body was discovered by his wife who became alarmed at her husband's absence from the house. Mr. Peck had been suffering from heart trouble for some time. Mr. Peck was born on the same farm on which he died and upon which he had always lived. He is survived by hi wife, a son, Ralph, and a brother, Avery C. Peck of Clarendon Springs. The funeral will be held at the house Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock , with burial at Chippenhook.
