I think he married a Stopford in Bethnal Green. My mother was born in 1931 her name was Nellie Irene Godding. Her mother was Edith Godding the daughter of Henry. I have recently spoken to my mothers cousin Arthur Godding and one of his sons, Peter Godding. Peter told me that he had a phone call from someone in the Portsmouth area, stating that he was Peters cousin. Do you have any information on your family tree.
