    2. Source, Rutland Vt. Daily Herald--Tues. Aug. 27,1940. MRS. LIZZIE KINGSLEY. Mrs. Lizzie Wyman Kingsley, wife of the late John Harrison Kingsley of East Clarendon, Vt., died early last night at her home, following a long illness. One of the oldest residents of Clarendon, Mrs. Kingsley was born in Alstead, N.H., June 2, 1856, the daughter of T. J. and Diana (Foster) Wyman. She graduated from Rutland (Vt) High School in 1873, and taught in secondary schools' here for many years, before her marriage to John Harrison Kingsley on March 10,1880. Mrs. Kingsley's sole survivor is one grandson, Kingsley Smith of Rutland, Vt., Mrs. Kingsley's daughter, Emma Wyman Kingsley, wife of the late Dr. Robert Seneca Smith, Horace Bushnell professor of the Yale Divinity school until his death in 1939, died in 1925. Mrs. Kingsley was a member of the D.A.R., and of the King's Daughters of the Methodist church. She was the oldest member of the Methodist church in Clarendon. Funeral services will be held at the Kingsley home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, with burial in Evergreen cemetery in this city (Rutland, Vt) The body was taken to the Spencer Funeral Home on West street (Rutland), where it will remain until shortly before the funeral.
