Source,Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Tues.Aug.17, 1943. MRS. WEEKS DIES AT 86. Clarendon Woman Succumbs Four Days After Death of Rutland Sister. CLARENDON, Vt.--Aug.16--Mrs. Hattie Weeks, 86, for 50 years clerk of the Clarendon Congregational church, died tonight four days after the death of her 84-year-old sister, Mrs. Mattie Sherwood of Rutland, Vt. Mrs. Weeks ,who was the widow of William Weeks, was the oldest member of the Clarendon church and moved here from Rutland 60 years ago. Her death occurred at the home of her son, Amherst B. Weeks, after a long illness. Besides her son, she is survived by three grandchildren, Staff Sergt. Carroll C. Weeks of Nebraska, W. A. Weeks of Clarendon, Vt. and Lieut. Lincoln Weeks of Nevada,and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at her son's home here at 2:30 o'clock Thursday with the Rev. O. R. Houghton of Wallingford, Vt. officiating. He will be assisted by Henry Childs, summer pastor of the Clarendon church. Burial will be in East Clarendon cemetery.
