    2. Source,Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Thur.Oct. 18, 1917. PROCTOR, Vt. Miss Sadie Donnelly left Wednesday for a two weeks' visit with relatives in Boston. A piano recital was given Wednesday evening at the home of Miss Bardi by Earnestine Bardi, a pupil of Miss Florence Mead. Theodore Mayo of Stowe arrived here Wednesday for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Fairbanks before going to Schenectady, N.Y., to take an engineering course at Union college. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Townsend and son, Frank, who have been spending several weeks with relatives in Oak Park, Ill., and Greenwich, N.Y., returned home Wednesday. L. A. Veazey (sic) who has been in Putney on account of the death of a relative, returned Wednesday. A daughter was born recently to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hatch of Milwaukee, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Hatch were formerly residents here for several years. A daughter was born Monday to Mr. and Mrs. S. Listroan at the hospital. Miss Marion Smith, who has been visiting relatives here and in the vicinity for several weeks, returned Tuesday to Bristol. William H. Howe, assistant postmaster, who has been on a vacation of 15 days, resumed work at the post office Wednesday.
