Source, Rutland, Vt. Daily Herald-Sat. Dec. 6, 1958. BENSON, Vt. MISS FANNIE DICKINSON. Miss Fannie Coleman Dickinson, 88, died Friday in the Rutland (Vt) Hospital after a short illness. She was born July 21, 1870, in Benson, the daughter of Albert and Helen ( Bascom ) Dickinson. She was a lifelong member of the Benson Congregational church and taught school for many years in Benson village schools.Later she made her home with her nephews Kenyon and Carl King, who survive her. She is also survived by a niece, Mrs. Jack Morris of Benson and two nephews, Robert Dickinson of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and John R. Watts of Minneapolis, Minn., and several grand nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Durkee Funeral Home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with burial in Benson Cemetery. The family has requested that flowers be omitted and that donations be made instead to the Cancer Fund.
