FALL MEETING, GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY OF VERMONT The Genealogical Society of Vermont is pleased to announce that their fall meeting will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2004, at the Holiday Inn in Rutland, Route 7 south of the city. The meeting starts with registration and refreshments at 9:30 a.m., GSV business meeting at 10:00. The first speaker will be a representative from the Rokeby Museum in Ferrisburgh with a slide show presentation on “Thomas Robinson’s Family and the Underground Railroad.” The second speaker will be someone from the Rutland Historical Society with “A Look at the Rutland Historical Society and its Holdings.” A luncheon will be served at 12:00 noon. Our afternoon speaker will be Janice Edwards from the Welsh-American Genealogical Society in Poultney who will present information about that Society. The cost to attend this fall meeting is $18.00 for GSV members and $20.00 for non-members. This includes the morning and afternoon program, morning coffee and luncheon.
