    2. Source, The Poultney Journal--Fri. Apr. 5, 1907. FAIR HAVEN, VT. The members of St. Louis' church opened their four days' fair Wednesday evening at Powell's hall. Cards are out announcing the marriage of Miss Ella Shepard, daughter of L. K. Shepard, to Ernest W. Spencer, son of C. W. Spencer, which will take place the 17th. The funeral of Albert F. Palmer was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. A. E. Foote officiating. The bearers were Sol Maynard Jr., Andy Hopper, Plinney Whitcomb, Harold Whitcomb, Fred Draper and Jesse Dunn. The mill men's union of which he was a member attended in a body. A. M. Hathaway died at his home on Prospect street Monday at midnight of a complication of diseases. He was 62 years old and is survived by a widow and two daughters, Mrs. Helen Belden and Mrs.Fred Bartholomew. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house. Benjamin Williams has secure a position in the machine shop of the Delaware and Hudson railroad at Whitehall. Thomas Hayes is in New York city. Henry Gates of this place, who has been clerk at the Kingsborough hotel for two years, is spending a few days with his parents, before beginning his new duties as clerk at the Bardwell house, Rutland.
