Charles O'Reilly, pastor of St. Bridget's at West Rutland, the names of several children were mentioned as follows.] On Tuesday morning the children of the Sunday school, numbering 400, with many of their parents, attended an anniversary mass, celebrated by the pastor. After service in the church, Father O'Reilly was invited by the children to visit them in their rooms which were beautifully decorated with evergreen and flowers. In behalf of the boys of the school, Master James BURKE presented his pastor an elegant gold-headed cane, inscribed with the pastor's name and the dates 1855-1880. Master Dan DAVINE, in behalf of the smaller class of juveniles, presented a beautiful gold pen and holder. On the part of the young misses, Miss Annie CARMODY delivered a beautiful and appropriate address at the conclusion of which she presented the honored guest of the occasion a large gold cross.
