This index is alphabetic by surname, then given name. Four parts are available thru the FHL on microfilm: 1760-1870; 1871-1908; 1909-1941; 1942-1954. Each entry will contain most if not all the information to be found in the original record, and will show the town in which the original record was filed. Copies of the records may be obtained from both the town that holds the record or from the state.
