Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Sat. July 7, 1956. PITTSFORD, VT. July 6--Thorndyke E. Wing, 55, died early today at the Proctor Hospital following a short illness. He was born Nov. 19, 1900, in Brookline, N. Y.,the son of Frank and Laura (Savory) Wing. A resident for the past 10 years in Pittsford, he was a graduate of Amherst College. Besides his wife, Orpha, he is survived by a brother, Lumes of Islip, N.Y., two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Williams of Bryn Mawr, Pa., and Mrs. Priscilla Downey of Montclair, N. J., and nieces and nephews. Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford. Officiating will be the Rev. George Paul. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
