Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cereghino have returned to their home on the Lafayette street, after being in Washington, where they attended the inauguration ceremonies,and visited their daughter, Mrs. P. J. Cantona. Mrs. Edward H. Giles of Hartland, who has been visiting Mrs. Howard Claypoole of Spellman terrace, left yesterday to spend a few days in Philadelphia. Mrs. William LaFond of Springfield, Mass., has been in Rutland, visiting her husband, S/Sgt. LaFond, who is stationed at the Army headquarters on Center street. Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Canty of Prospect street have been spending a few days in New York. Nathan Goldman of Crescent place is in New York to remain for a few days. Miss Sarah Knapp and Norman Knapp, jr., of Poultney, have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wayne N. Edson and family of Davis street. Clarence E. Oakman ,chief electrician's mate, stationed at Camp Endicott, R. I., have been visiting his wife at their home on North Main street. Elizabeth A. Thayer, seaman first class (Y), who has been attending the A. & M. college for yeomen at Stillwater, Olka., is spending a leave with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy E. Thayer of Deer street. She will report on February 2 for active duty at the Naval Air station at Quonset Point, R. I. Mrs. Perry T.Lane, jr., is now in Quantico, Va., where she has joined her husband ,Lt. Lane. Mrs. Lane is the former Mary Carmen Kennedy of 203 State street.
