Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Crane Briggs, 81 of Clarendon Springs, who died at her home Wednesday afternoon following a long illness, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Tossing Funeral Home in Rutland, Vt. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The wife of Edward J. Briggs, Mrs.Briggs was born March 25, 1882, in Pittsford, Vt. the daughter of James Crane and Jeanette Marie (Payne) Crane. She was a member of the Rutland Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband ; a daughter, Mrs. Fletcher Sargent of Chittenden, Vt. ; a sister, Mrs. William Davenport of Pittsford, Vt.; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
