    2. Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Wed. May 27, 1891. WEST RUTLAND, Vt. R. C. Thrall is painting his house on Pleasant street. Guy Brother's minstrel troupe will play at Campbell's hall on Thursday evening, May 28. A little girl has been added to the family of William Thrall. Mrs. Freeman and Belle are visiting friends in Rutland. The Barnes house and stables, with about an acre and a half of land, will be sold on Monday, June 1. C. J. Parker is painting his house. A horse belonging to John Ryan, a resident of Birdseye, was taken sick while waiting here in the village. Mr. Ryan took the animal to Spencer's blacksmith shop, where he was treated for some time and then he undertook to drive the horse home, but he died soon after leaving town.
