The stores will close Wednesday and Friday nights. Albert L. Field and wife of Lansing. Mich., are visiting Mr. Field's parents on Carnarvron street. E. A. Dodge of Lawrence, Mass., of the Redfield Printing company, has moved his family here and will occupy the house of A. Flosa on First street. The members of Phoenix lodge, I.O.G.T., presented the drama "Dot, the Miner's Daughter," to a full house Saturday evening. The play was well presented and the Apollo orchestra furnished good music. The net proceeds were $50. Chauncey Hurlburt of the Vermont Marble company's office in New York and his wife are in town visiting his father, P. R. Hurlburt of Prospect street. Mrs. E. H. Phelps and sons go this week to Montgomery, Minn., to join Mr. Phelps, who went there a few weeks ago to look after his interests in the flowering business. The dance of the C. C. Knights Hose company, No. 2, Friday night are a success, and the proceeds have been about $40. There will be a concert at the First Congregational church Friday evening by the choir under the leadership of John T. Williams and his chorus of Welsh singers. The judges for the Demarest gold medal contest at the Baptist church Tuesday evening are to be Rev. E. L. Walker, Prof. Abel E. Leavenworth of Castleton, and Mrs. C. M. King of Benson.
