If you saw a transcription that said otherwise, it must have been a typo. Pickering married Mary Morris, daughter of Rev. John W. and Mary. Moved to Granville, NY. Unsure which William Owens William R is [in order to find his wife]. The names of children of Robert W Owens and Jane Thomas follow. There was one other child; don't know name. Jane gave birth to 16; 12 lived. I think that William R Owens born 1887 married Catherine E (maiden name unknown) Born 1890 and had 2 children Jeanette/Janet M & William H - On 1920 census they were in Ohio and in 1930 back in Poultney. I think I can dismiss Mary Roberts as a relative now so I will try to track the Welsh roots to find the earlier link between the Owens and Pickerings as well as trace the rest of the descendants of Robert W Owens and Jane Thomas.
