Saxton, general agent for a casualty company at Detroit, Mich., has just returned from Pittsford, where he has adjusted three claims, one to Fredson Manning, $30 ; one to Allen Durkee, $14 ; one to William J. Troungo, $45. Prof. C. B. Wright of Middlebury college and his daughter, Miss Marjory Wright, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Higley Saturday. Miss Marjory Wright, who spent Sunday in town, returned to Saratoga, N.Y., Sunday. Miss Margaret E. Burke of Nanking, China, gave an interesting talk at the Advent Christian church Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond C. Ransom and son, who have been visiting at Pownal, have returned. Mrs. M. E. Davis left Tuesday for Bristol to attend the funeral of her cousin, Mrs. Nellie Barnard. N. L.
