    2. Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Wed. May 27, 1891. MIDDLETOWN SPRINGS, Vt. Walter S. Haynes and wife of Clarendon were in town last Sunday. Many from this place attended the funeral of Dwight Barker at Poultney last Thursday. A. Y. Gray and party are expected home from Europe next week. They sail May 27. Mrs. E. Kinney of Messina, N. Y., was the guest of Mrs. C. Haynes last week. Mrs. Ethel Ray of Poultney passed last week with friends in town. Henry Buxton and Earl Gates each cut a foot badly with broken glass recently. Mrs. A. W. Gardner was home from Proctor over Sunday. Mrs. Maria Taylor is improving from her recent illness. William Robinson died quite suddenly Sunday. He had been in poor health for some time but was not confined to the house. He was at Rutland only the day before his death. The body will be taken to Arlington for burial. He leaves a widow and an adopted daughter. C. H.Granger, wife and daughters of Rutland were in town last week. E. Smith is painting his house. Transcribed by, Joan H. Bixby
