    2. Source, The Poultney Journal--Fri. June 14, 1929. CASTLETON, Vt. A daughter was born on June 9, to Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Wimmett. Henry J. Stevens of New York is spending some time at the Maples. Schools closed in town on Friday. A picnic was held in the afternoon at Langdon's grove. Mrs. Henrietta L. Northrop has been elected grand marshal of the Grand chapter, O.E.S. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Armstrong have returned from New York and opened their summer home here. Miss S. Catherine Denison left Friday to attend commencement at Northfield, Mass., after visiting Miss Edna V. Higley. Mrs. Carrie Dean, Mrs. Minnie Seward and Mrs. Mary W. Kinney are attending the state convention of the Woman's Relief Corps at St. Johnsbury. Edwin Leavenworth has returned to Wood River, Neb., accompanied by Miss Parkhurst, after spending several months with Mrs. P. R. Leavenworth. Mr. and Mrs. Smith Scribner, Mr. and Mrs. George Sanford and Mrs. Eliza Griswold were in Albany, N.Y., on Tuesday, where they attended the graduation of Miss Helen Scribner. Transcribed by, Joan H.
