    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Sara_Noonan Surnames: Cecchini Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.vermont.counties.rutland/4677.1.1.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Jan, Cecchine was my ex-husband's family, and his grandfather was the only one that spelled his name with the E instead of I because of a birth record error he didn't care to fix. There were none that I could find in Mass, that made any connection to that family. They were in upper New Jersey from the time of immigration in the 1892-1918 time frame, and are still there. I have seen some of them that appear to have a connection that went to Connecticut. Most interesting was another Noonan gal marrying another Cecchini in the New Haven area - neither of relation. This Cecchini / Cecchine family was from Sessa Arunca, Caserta, Italy. If she thinks there's a connection, I'll be happy to share with her. There was also a Cecchini family that quarried marble in Rutland for a short time before moving to the same area in New Jersey. I am excited and jealous for you to be able to get to Rutlands courthouse. I'm 1300 miles away. Best digs to you! Sara Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
